Edwards in the Primaries

As Edwards falls further and further behind the two main frontrunners one starts to question who he will place his support behind and if there is any chance for him to be on a ticket as a vice presidential candidate. Going into South Carolina Edwards may get a jump in the votes but most likely not nearly enough to catch up to Obama and Clinton seeing as how they both have at least twice as many delegates as he does after Nevada. It will be interesting to see if Edwards will stay in throughout the entire primaries or place his support behind the candidate that he thinks is best or will pick him as a vice president, if he stays in the race, he most likely to lose and also take away from Obama or Clinton.

I think you're right - it seems pretty clear at this point that Edwards will not be the Democratic nominee. While I don't believe that Edwards will be choosen by either Obama or Clinton since he has already lost one presidential election under that role, he would add a dimension that neither Obama nor Clinton have - that of a traditional, white male politician.
