Edwards Update 3 (December 2, 2007)

Edwards is set to recieve a key endorsment from Bruce Braley, who represents Iowa's First Congretional District in the eastern portion of the state. Bray's support was a heavy competition that many Democratic nominees were to win. With the Iowa Caucus right around the corner any bit of momuntem in Iowa could result in a candidates surge.
Edwards added an "individual mandate" in his health care plan that will force every person in the country to sign up for the coverage. He has said that people who do not sign up for the coverage will be controlled by the IRS and recieve the lowest form of health care in their region (without any extra benefits). Edwards has been criticized for making a specific claim or detail in his healthcare plan at such a vital time in the campaign (where any detail will be ridiculed).
Edwards has continued his strong support for the "writers strike". He has promised to fight hard to protect the rights of union members if elected president.

So he wants more support for unions and a better health care system; I wonder where he plans on getting the money? Also I don't see whats wrong with having a plan that is more then just rhetoric. It would seem that most of our foreign policy problems stem from not having an actual plan, so maybe it would be for the best if this did not happen to health care as well.
