John Edwards received two important endorsements in the last week. One was from Valley News Today, a local newspaper in Iowa. The paper covers a rural town in Iowa. It is a significant endorsement because the Valley News Today rarely endorses political figures, especially for presidential elections. The endorsement shows Edwards strong appeal for rural America. With twenty five days and counting before the Iowa caucus, this endorsement could be just the type of momentum and publicity needed for Edwards and his campaign. The other endorsement picked up by Edwards was from The Communication Workers of America in Nevada. The CWA in Nevada becomes the first endorsement for a presidential candidate by a CWA group in America.
In other news, John Edwards was praised by African American leaders, such as Texas State Representative Garnet Coleman, for his "Plan For Opportunity For All Americans."
